Attaching a Module with Soft Magnet OK?

It depends on the magnet. There are some magnetic rubber strips that would not damage the paint.
Something like this may work:
I ended up buying a roll of rubberized magnetic tape and stuck it to the bottom of the Pyramid. It's perfect!
