Thank you lawman, knowing that there are other people with the same problem hepls a little bit.

Try playing with a MIDI loop. In NP4 this is dome as follows: 1) press shift + MIDI button, 2) select Off with the knob, and 3) connect a MIDI wire from MIDI out to MIDI in. I contacted a Nord Support Team and they told me that, if the problem disappeared in this way, then the keybed would be defective. I tried this with both NP4, and the doble-sound vanished with the MIDI loop.

However, I still do not know what to think. Two new NP4 with the same problem???

I'd think this is intrinsic to the very mechanism the keys work by. I get the same sometime when playing organ on my NS3 88, as I've set the trigger point as "high", and sometimes double notes occur. I think it's caused by the key bouncing back on its own weight and triggering the sensor twice.

With the NP4, since it uses three sensors, the effect should be much more difficult to spot... but apparently it does happen.

PLEASE NOTE: I was employed by the US and Canadian distributors of Nord products to provide tech support services to customers in those countries from March of 2010 through April of 2020. Someone else now holds that position.

It is not surprising to me that turning Local OFF and looping midi would produce results which are not identical to regular Local ON playing. I would expect that translating the data generated by the triple contacts into 0-127 midi data would result in some loss of resolution when compared to the instrument's internal processing.
