OK, this I understand. Would be interesting to hear from the Italian distributor if they'd engage in that question. As far as I understood, this at least was the idea from Clavia Nord, that artists moving round the world would always find a "local" contact person for support questions. Thomann being Italian or not. And if ever you want to ship your instrument - preferably not in the pre Christmas time!

For keyboards that are relatively expensive it poses a problem in term of value for money.
In the middle of the music scene one swears by the red keyboards on of phenomen fashion?
I'm worried
Some could say that precisely only the people who have problems are the ones who write in forums like this one, so there is a disproportion of data. This may be true so some extent, but at the end of the day what people are sayins IS the basis for a statistical idea of how likely something is to break along the way.
I think that this is is a major issue which leads to mispreception - prople report more likely if something fails than if something works well which creates an impression of general bad quality. I own two Nord Stage 3 and one Nord Stage 2 and have not had any issues with defective parts and other problems which are not software related, but this does not comes to the attention of the people in the forum since I never mentioned this (up to now) . So don't be worried Gus1+, there is likely no general quality issue from my point of view, at least you cannot tell unless you know the total number of owners of a particular instrument and the number of those having issues with it

Schorsch, how long have you owned the Stage 2 for?

There seems to be a general, yet vague, opinion "in the air" on this forum that the Stage 3 is somewhat less robust, hardware-wise, than the 2 and other Clavia products from the past. Not sure if it's a grounded opinion, but generally speaking it does seems to me that the number of posts reporting issues with the Stage 3 is higher than the posts who do the same for the 2 -- which, considering that the Stage 3 is relatively new, is doubly worrying. Didn't count the posts exactly though.

I have got my NS2-88 about 3 years ago in a used but like new condition, the previous owner used it a lot in his home studio but never on stage. I took it on stage a lot since then but it’s still in a mint condition without any problems. My NS3 compact was bought by me as a new product about 3-4 months after I got the NS2, my NS3-88 about one year after that.

On the NS2 vs. NS3 stability/robustness topic, I still have my original NS2 from 2011 (88 key) and it was heavily gigged for about the first 6 years I had it, then I added a few other NS2 EX varieties, before eventually going to the NS3 about 2-3 years ago. One of my NS2 EX had a display issue that required a replacement. Otherwise, rock solid and never had any major issues with software bugs. NS2 had a long time to stabilize. I've felt that the NS3 has been slightly more problematic and had more prominent OS issues in the earlier days. Most of those have been solved. One of my NS3 units has random program changing issues that are hard to replicate and the same keyboard also had some split issues which mysteriously went away.

Goodevening all. I'm just new to the forum and bought a NS3 88 :keyboard: brand new at Bax Music in Holland. It came new in the undamaged box and the E4 note was already stuck half way after carefully unboxing.

After a week of playing E4 still makes an annoying and loud scratching sound. It's also a bit slower in return movement.

I'm really disappointed with the QC at Nord. How is this possible?

So this one is going back to the shop in Goes and hopefully I don't have to wait long for a new replacement because delivery times are really long now. Website says 14 working days. That's 3 weeks!

Warm regards from Holland
