if you ever want to make another i would buy from you in a heartbeat . brilliant ideaEriknie wrote:Just to share. I was using a Rolls PM351. Works great for my purpose, but needed extra functionality and used the mic input to hear my click send, and that was noisy because it is not designed for a line-level input.
My input needs:
- Stereo Keys 1 (Nord Stage 3)
- Stereo Keys 2 (Nord Wave 2)
- Mono Backing Track (from iPad left)
- Mono Click Track (from iPad Right)
- Stereo Aux mix from Main Desk with my own mix from rest of the band
Output:
- Stereo output to Main desk (Containing mix of keys + Backing track)
- mono Click to Main desk (contraining click only)
- Headphone (Mix of keys, aux-mix, click track)
I found this cheap mixer from Aliexpress:
With two of those I could make everything as i want it and put everything in a case with exact the wiring I want inside. Painted it Nord-red.
Nice Corona project....
Works great!
I've added an extra input.
The top 4 knobs control the main output mix:
- External input
- Backing track volume
- keys1 volume
- keys 2 volume
The bottom 4 knobs control the headphone mix:
- Main output mix (Keys)
- Mix from Aux
- Click track level
So would I!jamie8 wrote:if you ever want to make another i would buy from you in a heartbeat . brilliant idea
Yes, easier to insert when attached to the Nord!Mr_-G- wrote:Brilliant idea. For a next version
could the the outputs be located one the side? That way one can use angled plugs. I do not know if there is enough space for that...
Headphone output is powered direct from the PCB mixer. Very strong output, even drives my hard to drive AKG headphone.Normski wrote:Hi Eriknie
Its a lovely thing.
Are you saying that it is an 8 input 4 output mixer.
Your input needs suggest you need 3 stereo and 2 mono input channels,
And 1 stereo and 2 mono outputs. Also is the headphone output powered.
Nope, I hardly have time to support my own hobbies...jamie8 wrote:love your help but i still would prefer if someone else built it , im not inclined to do so myself but.... if you would be willing
