Re: Headphones for Nord Grand
Try a pair of Sony MDR-7506. I've been using them for 25 years (that pair finally just gave out) and they have good volume and studio quality monitoring sound with everything I have ever tried with them.

Re: Headphones for Nord Grand
Since I dont have a Nord Grand I cant say for sure, but my Nord Stage 2 has plenty of gain for my beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250 ohm. I think it's strange that the headphone amplifier in the Grand is so much weaker than the one they use on the Stage.

Re: Headphones for Nord Grand
I use a 24 Ohm pair of Sony MDR-V300s that sound fine on my N3HP at about half volume (both Master and Gain).
I see an Electro 3 listed in your "Nord Gear"... Do your headphones sound better on the NE3 compared to the Grand? If yes, it suggests an issue with the Grand that might require service.

Re: Headphones for Nord Grand
I’ve been using my Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250 for years now and never had a problem with the volume on my Nord Stage 2 EX ... nice volume around 1-3 o’clock
Have you tried to connect the headphone output to a mixer or audio interface to check the level you get?
Also, I’m sure you’ve used the headphones with other audio equipment and the levels are fine, right?

Re: Headphones for Nord Grand
Thank you everyone for your help. So, last week i got the chance to test the Sennheiser HD 25 (70 Ohms) on my Grand. Volume level is absolutly fine with these Headphones. I can play with the volume Level around 12/1 o' clock. So i came to the conclusion that the Beyerdynamics aren't loud enough with the Nord. Now i ordered the Sennheiser HD 300 pro and hope they will work as good as the HD 25.

Re: Headphones for Nord Grand
I have an Fidelio X2HR(Sounds like if you would have speakers, spatial sound), SHP9500(Good but a little bright) and Sennheiser HD599 (This are my favorites to play, most light and comfortable, nice warm sound) in all my headphones i can play loud at aprox. 35% of the Master Volume.
You should buy open headphones if you want to listen better the Acoustic Pianos, open headphones give a more natural sound than the closed ones.

Re: Headphones for Nord Grand
FWIW, I tried multiple headphones and had a similar problem with audio levels. I opted to purchase the DT770 pro 80 ohm with the ARTcessories four channel headphone amplifier and have had excellent results.
Re: Headphones for Nord Grand
Hi,
Does anyone know best way to connect Bluetooth in-ear monitors to the Grand without messing with any other attachments?
My earpieces have Bluetooth 5.0 Class1 so I assume I need some sort of inline Bluetooth transmitter to sit in the headphone socket and be compatible with this standard.
Is there such a thing? Does anyone know suppliers or have experience setting this up please?
Thanks.

Re: Headphones for Nord Grand
There are numerous devices available in the market, just search for Bluetooth 5 Transmitter on the internet or the big online warehouse - take care to chose one which includes send function (TX), like for example the TaoTronics TT-BA09

Re: Headphones for Nord Grand
What latency does that imply? You can musically use BT 5 just as it is - no special solutions necessary?
