Here in the states, you can get a new E6HP for as low as $2250 (=1800 pounds) which is 25% off going street price IF you shop carefully. Norm's offer of an E5HP with case for around 1000 quid seems quite fair. Hope your daughter is well, Kirsty.

Norms offer is a good price indeed and one I am happy to take him up on once we are allowed back out again!

JayDee, I have found an E6HP for £1599 new and delivered in the UK on Music Matter so they can be had even cheaper still

The eBay sellers are obviously on another planet at the prices they are asking.

My daughter is well thanks. Still playing Christmas carols on the Baby Grand..... I keep trying to gently suggest its the wrong time of the year but this has fallen on deaf ears (like most words spoken to a 10 year old haha)

A musician must do what a musician must do, right? :)

Ebay is rife with idiots over pricing things,They either have no clue on the values of synths or are hoping that some mug will come along and pay over the top on an impulse purchase,We all want the best price for our gear but sometimes you've just got to be realistic.

I've never had a problem selling anything,as I always price things based on what would I be prepared to buy for, unless you bought it secondhand in the first place your always going to take a hit on a newly purchased item if you sell it later on.

I just don't understand though why these sellers keep listing and listing the same items again and again, you see the same sellers selling things over and over if it didn't sell at the overinflated price, what does that say!

You've only got to do an advanced search and see what the typical resale values are,Either list it with a low starting bid in the hope it makes what your asking for or put a reserve on it or set it at a buy it now thats realistic!

There's no need to inflate the price to compensate for postages/Fees,Ebay have been allowing No fee/Charges Listings recently on a whole range of things,I've sold quite a lot of gear recently without the usual deductions and still made money on them,The problem is these over inflated sellers are just killing sales and creating a stalemate in the secondhand market, the days of a bargain have gone.

Prices on e-bay are totally messed up. At the moment there is a nord wave at 1830 euros and the seller is here in Greece. I bought mine from a local site a year ago for 650, and that was what the previous owner had payed for it. Ok, lets be serious and understand that a used item can't be resell for the same (or more) than it costed new. We don't discuss for collective items here... I think reverb has more reasonable prices, and there is a price guide as well.

Hi Kirsty
My name is Eric. I am new to the Nord Forum and new to Nord Keyboards. I have been in the market for a new or used Nord Keyboard for over 5 months. I have noticed the same thing. Prices are insane! Actually the prices for a used Nord Stage 3 were cheaper in the states during winter. At that time I didn't think so :-) Now with summer approaching prices have gone insane. A new Nord Stage 3 compact will set you back $3300 shipped from Proaudiostar without taxes. I have seen used ones going on Ebay for $3399.00 without shipping! Why would anyone pay more for a used one is a mystery to me. What makes things worst is that we now have to pay taxes on Ebay ofr things we buy out of state! That can add an additional $150-$290 to the final cost!
