Daddy Cool, I originally didn't know how to use Audacity to record samples, then made mp3's into wav files on Audacity to transfer to the sample editor 3! Now have added many cool samples to my song list to get more of a carbon copy of the original parts and effects to certain tunes...Have fun with it!!! I know you will!

I finally tried this on the weekend and it was fairly easy to do. Loaded it into my Stage 3 and it has a cool factor of 10, the guys in my band are impressed. Thanks for all the info on how to do this it was a great help.

Now you can go back to your song list & add samples to make the tunes sound more like the originals! Lol

I used to see Aldo around town in the clubs in Montreal. He did some demos for some friends of mine. Drove him home once when he needed a lift with some new gear from the music store - sweet guy.

I think he was working on a new album and possibly some gigs before Covid hit, according to his webpage.

Back in the day when I was gigging around Montreal we'd see some of the April Wine guys, Offenbach, Harmonium and others, and I was friends with Frank Marino's (Mahogany Rush) brothers, played in a few bands with them.

Various friends of mine that played at a bar near Le Studio ran into Rush, Asia, Supertramp and others that were recording up there.

Montreal has a very vibrant music scene today too. Best Jazz Festival on the planet imho, before Covid.

I can hardly wait to put this sample to use next week when my band gets together. Love playing these classics i grew up with and this forum has been awesome for sharing samples and programs people have created. I wish the Korg guys would be so generous because my Kronos has so much more memory space but just goes to show how much more the Nord family is closer. The living on a prayer sample i downloaded from here is amazing and blew the guys away when I sent them a video of me playing it during the lockdown so another song to be played next week. Can't beat the classic hard rock from Canadian bands like Aldo Nova and its up to us to keep it going.

Totally Agree! I have to admit I sampled the Living On A Prayer intro with the guitar wah wah intro, but we don't follow a click track... Lol..Kinda hard following the the guitar loop wah without the drummer following that!
Yes fellowship on our Nord Forum is the best out there, and very helpful with the many great know how great keyboardists on here!
