Re: Sample editor 3 questions
Although, I'm pretty sure most sample patches that use loops, will need some reworking...alex78 wrote:NIce to hear that, no need to create them from the start!
Tried it with one sample I created and the loops had some volume drops - which my sample I created with SE2 clearly doesn't have.

Re: Sample editor 3 questions
That's exactly my problem. You would expect that SE3 of Stage 3 looped the sample automatically?MartinJ2EX wrote: Is there any way to get a smooth loop???
For me, the loop is pretty much unusable... anyone having the same problem?
EDIT... it takes some time finding the perfect loop length - most values are gone, so the markers are the only way.
I wish the window was resizable and not stuck to that rather small size...
@MartinJ2EX Waht exactly do you mean with your comment starting with EDIT... I don't really understand.

Re: Sample editor 3 questions
Hi Jo,
I think Martin is referring to the option to create loops which are much more comprehensive in the old Sample Editor 2 than in the new Sample Editor 3. The old sample editor was able to do much more manual adjustments to optimize loops, seems as if the new sample editor uses more automated ways to create loops which would make looping easier, but not necessarily better.

Re: Sample editor 3 questions
It seems like I'm gonna stay at the previous version...I'm not in need of v.3 samples anyway. Or is there any other advantages regarding the sample quality when using SE3?Schorsch wrote:The old sample editor was able to do much more manual adjustments to optimize loops, seems as if the new sample editor uses more automated ways to create loops which would make looping easier, but not necessarily better.

Re: Sample editor 3 questions
I'm not aware of any quality improvement with SE3, it's just more intuitive to use at the price of less flexibility in optimizing things - I also stay with SE2alex78 wrote:It seems like I'm gonna stay at the previous version...I'm not in need of v.3 samples anyway. Re: Sample editor 3 questions
More automation sometimes is good, e.g. when there is lot of work to be done in a short time, but when detail is important it's better to do things manually. It's like comparing the synth engine of a Lead A1 to a L4 somehow!
