As Pscooter63 said + the OS update is a standalone application, nothing to do with NSE3; just right click (or CTRL+click) the update app icon and select "Open" then answer positively to the warning(s) and let it run.

Just want to add that support from Nord is great for Sound Manger problems. The program kept indicating it was "already running" when i clicked the icon -- but it wasn't. I couldn't fire it up despite a bunch of usual efforts: restarting, deleting & re-loading the program. Then I emailed support. Received a specific recommendation in a few hours, and it worked. I would have never figured it out myself.

Can you share this recommendation? Maybe others have a similar problem and can benefit from sharing a solution

Apologies for the delay in responding. Here is the text of the email I received from Staffan:

Sorry to here that! This can happen if the application has crashed at some point. There’s a “pid” file in the user’s home folder, which keeps track of the state of the application. If this is simply removed the problem should be solved!

Here’s the path for the file:

"/Users/<username>/Nord Sound Manager-<username>”
