Expensive, yes, but not so heavy. It weighs in under typical US airlines 50lb limit before they start charging excess fees, at least it was for my Stage 2 and Stage 3 Compact models. The NS4-C is a few pounds heavier, so....I haven't tried flying with that one yet.
