Hi all,

First of all, sorry to cut into the middle of the original post. I just bought Irig MIDI and I'm trying to use NP88 as a controller of sound in Ipad's Sampletank. However, I cannot get any sound out of it. My connection is MIDI in from Irig to NP88 MIDI Out (as in the manual). Sound on my speaker still NP88's sound. What I've missed, do I have to change anything on NP88 menu (MIDI) I don't know what to do. Please help.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi Grasoon, I think the only settings you need to check is SHIFT+MIDI => Channel and set it e.g., to 1 (or which channel you like, i.e., the one Sampletank responds to) and NOT select USB 1..16 so that MIDI is transmitted thru the standard DIN plugs. Then it should work.

Hi Grasoon. I have Irig Midi too. After routing midi signal to midi out as Johannes told you , you have to launch the app Irig midi recorder , is a free IK app . then launch Sampletank. Hope ot helps

Oh man!!!, probably the dumbest question ever asked in the forum :D but I am lost right now. How can I change MIDI from USB1 to others especially standard DIN. I've looked in the manual but I can't find or maybe I don't know what to look for. This is something about newbie I think. You learn something new everyday but once you stuck. It becomes very difficult to get through.

By the way, thank you very much for your kind help Johannes and fabiokey

Thank you very much in advance
Cheers!!!

Hit SHIFT+"Programs 2" (which reads MIDI below the switch to enter the MIDI menu. Then using the program up and down buttons, scroll to the entry "Channel" and using SHIFT+ the program up and down buttons, change the values e.g., to simply "1", then exit the menu by pressing any program button.
It is described on page 16 of the manual.
Cheers, J

YESSSSS!!!! I did it. Thank you very much sir, both of you. I notice that sound is coming from Ipad and it very loud so I'm afraid that Ipad's speakers might damage. How can I make the sound coming out of my speakers? Do I need special equipment?

Thank you very much again for your great great help.
Cheers!!!

Just want to add just one more question to fabiokey. How can I record a song with this configuration. I mean if I play the NP one time and add another instrument on another occasions. Is it possible? If yes, would you please teach me to do it? Thank you very much again

Cheers!!!
