I was not offered an endorsement.I suggested to someone who has a Hammond endorsement they replace their 'second keyboard' with a Nord Stage model.
Was told by the individual Nord is 'the sworn enemy'. If someone 'takes the bait'....they are told what they can and cannot be seen with!
Reached out to 'the head guy' at Hammond and got no reply......'stonewalled'.Which I will take as a 'yes', an admission of my confirming this 'fact'!
Which is fine,he knows I'm not a fan and would play Nord regardless. The Suzuki/Hammond SK1 does nothing for me!For that matter either does the new B3.
I would never end up 'beholden' to any manufacturer. Free is not FREE.People in advertising/marketing must moonlight as political advisors.....
What I do in a voting booth is my own business, and no one elses!

I love being seen as the sworn enemy by Hammond. Could have been worse, perhaps if it was by Casio or Bontempi. Rainy regards from Germany.

I fail to see the problem...

They hand out endorsement gear to successful artists to get promotion.
Promotion works better under certain circumstances, so they have rules attached wth the endorsement deal.

If the rules are unbearable for the artist I guess they turn down the endorsement deal and buy their own stuff.
Or hide logos and whatever.

And it's probably self-fixing because companies with too strict rules don't get enough/big enough artists, so they have to set rules at a generally bearable level.

Supply and demand.
Also this type of marketing has to be successful, or else it's just charity.

Really? You don't see the OP's problem like a thumb hit with a hammer?

In these cases the band blanks out the logo. If they are feeling super nice to poor widdle Yamaha, maybe they'll paint over the red color too.

No stage keyboardist uses one brand exclusively in their rack.
There are plenty of stage keyboardists who stick with a single current brand for a production (oftentimes alongside vintage stuff). Santana’s keyboards, for example, have been Yamaha for decades, except for the real Hammond (and recently, a vintage Farfisa as well).

Rammstein had two Nord Stage 2 onstage until their most recent tour, when they added a controller that Flake carries around for some songs.
