Great work! WOW!
I also wish that Nord Manager could show all settings on each patch!

Thanks a lot. I am new in the world of electric piano and this list is quit useful.
I unwrapped my new Nord Grand this afternoon and I am digging in all these programs.
I have however a question : is there a way to play without applying a program? Just the piano as it comes.
When I turned the piano on it is how it was set. I moved into the program section and can not come out.
Looks surely very basic and I am not sure it is the best place to ask the question but ... I am a bit lost to tell the thruth.

Fabam,
Be of good cheer! As you suspect, this is basic and very easy once you know the trick. Basically, the Nord Grand has two sound engines: Piano and Sample Synth. Generally speaking, a Program is just a pair consisting of one Piano sound coupled with one Sample Synth sound (although a particular Program might omit one or the other). When you turn the NG on, it automatically displays a Program. However, you don't have to use any Program at all (I hardly ever do). You can have a Piano sound only, a Sample Synth sound only, or one of each mixed together. If you want a Piano sound, make sure that the Piano Section is ON, and push the button at the bottom of the Piano Select column repeatedly, to choose the category of Piano that you want (that is, Electric, Upright, Grand, Clav, Digital or Misc.) Then, turn the List knob to select your particular Piano sound. If you don't want a Sample Synth sound mixed in, turn that Section OFF. If you want a Sample Synth sound, make sure that the Sample Synth Section is ON, and repeatedly push the Category Up and Down buttons (at the bottom of the Sample Select column), to choose the category of Sample Synth that you want (such as Strings Ensemble, Choir or Synth Lead, among others). Then, turn the List knob to select your particular Sample Synth sound. You can mix in a Piano sound if you wish, or turn the Piano Section OFF. The currently active sounds are shown in the bottom half of the display panel, below the horizontal line - Piano sounds are identified next to a tiny image of keys and, at the very bottom, Sample Synth sounds are identified next to a white box showing their number designation. The Program information at the top of the display panel will not change (unless you turn the Prog/Menu dial), except that the letter "E" will appear, signifying that the settings have been changed. Everything else flows from there. Many musical wonders await!

Thanks Iawman for taking time on this. I understand your point but any program you are bussy with have mostly other setting in terms of reverb, etc ...
As an example, if I am in a program such as B34 (nothing specfic - number out of the blue) then there might be numerous effects setting and Sample out of Synth Section.
To get back to something neutral with juste the piano sound I have to "manually" set off all the effect setting and Synth Section ?
I mean this is nothing tidious but I would have imagin that there must be somewhere a "neutral" program or a zero program (or any other way to come back to a "neutral" position).
As a matter of fact the A programs start at 11 - I think the A1 or A2 etc ... are just the piano.
In any case this does not refren my daugthers to explore all the musical wonders - just an "old" engineer concern ;)

@Fabam: You can never not be in a program :-) Most settings (apart from global ones) are saved as a program, and when you load a new one, you get whatever is saved with it. So there is always by default a program active. You can then modify that (as @lawman points out) and you will see the "E" (edited) in the display, so you know you have changed something. But everything is still there and waiting for you to press a button to again switch on the reverb at the settings it was saved with, etc.

If your A:11 contains only the piano, just use that as the starting point whenever you switch on the piano. If not, you can disable all effects and the synth, split points, mono mode, transpose etc, set the kbd touch etc to your liking and press the red STORE button twice, and that will be your new A:11 program with "just" the piano active. If it won't save, you need to go into the system menu and disable the memory protection.

You can then use the PIANO SELECT to change the piano, but then you will loose that change when you reboot the board -- unless you save it again.

If you would rather forget all about programs, and just have the NG remember whatever you left at it previously, go into live mode (press the LIVE MODE button). Live mode is actually 5 different programs that are not named, but auto-save every change you make. Just keep it at "Live 1" and set the instrument like you want it to be. It will remember that until you deliberately (or by accident...) change something, so it preserves whatever settings you have selected.

You can always just make one of the programs as basic as you want it and then save it to one of the banks. Leave it on that bank (program) when you turn it off. I know that's more work around perhaps, but it solves the problem.
Nord Grand, Nord Wave 2, Yamaha YDP-184, Arturia Keylab 49 MkII, Studio Logic SL88 Grand, Pianoteq 7 Pro, Garritan CFX, Teenage Engineering OP-1, and a smattering of Ukuleles.
