Except the Bundle concept seems to be that it's saving all the samples it needs. Is that not the case?

No, u definitely not doing it when band is waiting, must be done well before the rehersal.
Full backup is the best choice, since you never know what samples were used by previous guy.
But don't the bundles include all the samples needed?
