I had considered rogue MIDI as a possible factor - I am not currently using MIDI in this iteration of my rig, but I have a MIDI cable permanently in my snake that I plug into the NS3 to keep things tidy and it terminates at a blank end point in my rack (I used to use NS2 with Motif XS Rack). So as part of my testing outside of the gig, I've left a MIDI cable dangling from the MIDI out on the NS3 to simulate my live rig and it has not caused any issues. I don't have any MIDI External stuff programmed into my NS3 so I do believe that it should not be a factor. But I was trying to recreate my live rig setup to see if anything might be a corner case cause of the unfortunate issues I've seen at a couple of gigs now.
Since Sunday, I've had my NS3 powered up in my home music room and have played it off and on, changing programs and control settings, morphs, etc. It is still functioning very normally at this time. I have a gig coming up this weekend and I'm willing to take another chance on it live to see what happens. I will try to document more of the behavior most likely via video, but audio will be hard during a live gig.
