I you want a good keybed that will last you have to buy a Yamaha, this is what expereienced service men tell me all the time, and that is why they are preferred in places where the equipment must work properly every day ( Musicals etc..)
But I must admit I had a defect key in my new P 200 in the late Nineties..
Korg, Kawai, Nord... never again..

After Kawai, Korg and Nord now I am very happy with my Casio PX5S, the keys were kind of noisy from the first day on, but 800 Euro make it tolerable.
The White Grand is the first piano sample from Nord that is IMO as nice as the Casio Steinway "sample" (my edited version). And I was tempted to buy the Piano 4 or even the Grand but if you pay 2500 or 3000 Euro for a product and the keys get louder or clicking...that really hurts.

Yep... also had to replace 12-15 keys on my Yamaha P150 years ago, since they wear out...

Goronzo wrote:Hi about a week ago i bought Nord Piano 4 and some weird noise appeared when pressing key F. Key is responding ok, it only makes this irritating noise. Before Nord Piano 4 I had Nord Piano 3 which I had to return because of keybed problems. Is it the same with Nord Piano 4? Should I return it or are these noises normal? Thanks

I had a similar issue with four of my F keys. The problem was metal parts rubbing against each other: The metal part of the keys rubbed against the nearby metal stabilisators.
Bending these metal parts away from the keys fixed the problem.

HI ragnarj,

Hope you will get your unit replaced or repaired soon.
You are not the first (so far) to have this issue.
Luckily all the owners are not concerned but Fatar doesn't seem to have fixed the problem.

I just bought mine 2 days ago and should receive it next week.
