The solution i found to get the sound out of the mix is that you put the Keytouch to 2 or 3, you'll get a brighter sound that get out of the mix and more suitable for modern rock music...

I've changed my mind. I'm now using the XL Bright Grand, somewhat equalized, for everything. I still add a little pad. Speakers are Klipsch KG4's, which aren't as bright as most PA speakers.
The search for the perfect piano sound is an endless quest .............

I totaly agree, from time to time clavia gives us new sounds, and it will will become even harder to find the perfect gig piano.
Me and my (jazz-)band are very satisfied with the Studio Grand 2, cause it sounds very safe, and not very special.

For playing Solo-Piano the Bösendorfer XL Version is perfect!

Thats exactly my choice. The Studio Grand2 (even more important in Rock/Funk/... settings) to cut through and the Boesie for Soloing.

Studio Grand 2 is a very well rounded sound live! I agree Bosie for solo. No other sample has the rich bass like the Bosie nor the singing crisp treble
