On the Nord site it says: "The Enhanced EPs require an OS Update and is currently only available for Nord Stage 3". They call the new EP sounds V6, so an upgrade from the V5 platform which was introduced 8 years ago, and for which all Stage and Electro models (except the electro 1 and 2) got an OS update, even the first Stage (now called 'Classic') which was already discontinued then. So, you cannot install the new EP sounds on other boards yet, but I bet they will bring OS updates to all boards with suitable hardware for these V6 piano library sounds, I think at least NP4, but perhaps some older Stage, Electro and Piano models.

agree with Wartaler -- all this hand-wringing and moaning and groaning is not productive. Best to keep on keepin' on playing music and patiently wait. It is a very safe bet that this will be rolled out to current models NE6 and NP4, and based on past behavior, it is a reasonably safe bet that NS2/NS2EX and NE5 (and possibly more) will be brought into the fold. No special insider info here, just my educated guess.

bless, pablo

i just hope that it's not the only"christmas gift" from Nord?
I was expecting a really new piano sound, compatible with all boards...

I agree with Pablo and Baekgaard.
I remember the rollout of the new sample library two or three (?) years ago. One after another, nord made these samples available for every nord instrument with a sample function. So in my point of view it is safe to say, these new enhanced rhodes sounds will be available on NS2 and NE3 as well.
So, no need to worry :)

I guess this is it. There will be nothing else, since this is already quite big. A lot of people asked a long time for better rhodes samples.

Cheers everyone and have a nice christmas.

No moaning here. Just hoping the samples trickle down. If not, my life doesn't change. I was able to make great music on my Stage 2EX before, and will continue to do so.

Fully aware that only the Stage 3, Electro 6 and Piano 4 have the piano filter capability. I certainly do not expect that feature for any of the legacy instruments.

Did u try to upload those samples on your NP4?

Nord site says
"The Enhanced EPs require an OS Update and is currently only available for Nord Stage 3 (OS v2.00 or later)."

So it looks like you'll have to wait for an NP4 OS update before you can use those EPs.
