Hey! Doesn't my choice of a Nord give me some credibility. When it comes to music there is no compromise.....am I right.
Anyhow it does seem that plugging straight into the Nord makes less electronic noise and it is more like what I expected. Will give the board a lot of time and figure it out. Thanks again everyone.

What do you mean by "electronic noise"? Low frequency 50/60hz ground loop humming? High frequency broadband noises like too much GAIN on a cheap mixing console?
Please try the following: Connect your headphone directly to your NS3. Connect your phone/tablet to the NS3's audio in port, turn up the phone's volume to maximum and play the piano demos from the NORD website. Do they sound ok? Does it sound different then you playing the same piano sample directly on the keys?
