Can you tell me please, if you have time of course, if it's the same sound in the following intro:
I love this sound mais, but I can not manage the kind of "bend" on the attack of each chord! you would be you ???
Thank you, it's nice to meet Pros!
See you soon
Stef
Yes, the sound is very close. Below are the steps you can follow to program it. Good luck!
Load program "NS TradeItAll2 W.ns3f" from above and for both Slot A and Slot B:
a) Hold down the CTRLPED button under MORPH ASSIGN and turn the synth FREQ knob until the OLED panel indicates TO: "none", meaning the Control Pedal will not adjust the Freq value.
b) Release the CTRLPED button and then set FREQ to 147 Hz (or to what sounds good to you).
c) For MOD ENV set the ATTACK to 3, a typical setting for "brass synth" sounds, the setting determines how long it takes for the envelope filter to ramp up from the FREQ setting to the upper bound set for MODULATION MOD ENV.
d) For AMP ENV set the ATTACK to 0.
e) Save the program with a different name (or you can rename it using Sound Manager).
That's it. To play, back off the Control Pedal a little from its max setting (lowering the pitch of OSC2) and then play the chord while increasing the Control Pedal to max to bring the sound up to the correct pitch. The Mod Wheel morph is already set to turn the FREQ up more if needed. I hope this helps you learn a little bit more about the NS3. Take care.
Thank you for your explanations, and your advice, I apply to the letter! you are serious!
It's complicated to know how to do this "bend" when attacking the note, either with the pedal, or with the wheel mode, or with pitch bend .... you who know you, Tu what would you do with it?
I thought we could do the sound directly with this bend built into the sound itself without provoking it with a morph or a pedal.
I'm more pianist than synth, you guessed it, I'll try to do what you told me, but it's not won ...
Thank you for everything, you are a good pedagogue!

Indeed, I didn't realize that sound carried through the whole song - using the Control Pedal would be torture. I played around with the program further and figured out how to have the sound bend up automatically. To make the program easier to find for others who might be interested, I posted it at the link below. Take care nord-stage-3-programs-ns3p-ns3pb-files- ... 16227.html

They are awesome, for sure. I'd add Vulfpeck to the convo for funk 'n fun and Snarky Puppy for jazz. All keyboard heavy bands with amazing rhythm sections, what's not to like?
Vulfpeck. <3

I have listened through Vulfpeck's discography an absolutely stupid amount of times. Such a combo.

Using the Nord Stage 3 program viewer here, you can view the settings used on the Stage 3 and try to recreate them on the Stage 2. It's been a long time since I've had my Stage 2, so perhaps someone can suggest how to morph the pitch drop. Good luck to you.
