In any case: new e-pianos have nothing to do with the OS updates.

Actually there are still some broken synth engine issues that should be addressed.

Mono/legato bugs, attack not properly re triggered when in Mono mode, clicks in the audio on fast key changes (think trilled notes).
It would be really nice if they implemented polyphonic glide (which is a pretty big oversight).
Oscillator Sync still has for lack of a better word (zipper) distortion in it.
Oscillator pitch modulation range is severely limited. Should be able to get 1-2 octaves and can only get a few semi-tones.

I can't stand the new Program numbering system. I think it's a KLUDGE and there should be a more elegant way to select voices. Sacrificing the numbering for the NUM keypad is not a trade off I'm willing to accept.

Finally someone else recognizes the mono/legato bug. This bug really bugs me. I've reported this twice. I hope they fix it.
Totally agree on the pitch mod matter.

Unless you’re programming an external controller, there is very little difference in how to select a program to the way it was before 1.40 if you turn off the numeric selection, is there?

The numbering just means „Bank - Page - Program“, e.g. A25 is Bank A, Page 2, fifth program.

No difference for me as everything is in the same order. I keep my custom Programs in alphabetical order and use Songs in the order of my gig setlist, so everything is easy to find.

As for an OS update, I’d like the Organize function to be fixed so it doesn’t (seemingly) randomly reorder Programs and Songs other than one I am moving.

I also would like it if the Phaser and Flanger would be off when Amount is set to 0 so I can control on/off with the expression pedal. Currently, when Amount is at 0, there is still a very noticeable effect, so I need to use the button on the front panel in the effects section to turn Phaser and Flanger on/off.

Well in the real Phaser/Flanger effects pedals Amount = 0 (amount of modulation) is not equivalent to off (bypass), so in theory you should expect no modulation but still the signal “passing thru the circuit” (and being altered e.g. becoming mono, being filtered...) also in its digital equivalent (?)

Thanks for the reply, max. If you’re saying it’s a design choice, not a bug, then I guess it’s not on Nord’s “bug” list and I shouldn’t expect this issue to be addressed. It’s only a problem on two songs my band currently plays, so I can live with it.

Is this something unique to Phaser/Flanger pedals? All other effects seem to be bypassed when Amount is set to 0.

I am guessing that may be the case, not saying I am 100% sure. Unfortunately at the moment I cannot check on my NS2, but I am sure that in my patches I never used morph on the amount to bypass an effect.

I don’t have any phasers or flangers where the effect can be mixed to zero. (Nor chorus’, for that matter.)

But I have mostly vintage stuff.
