… a few years ago, I was using a setup made of a cheap 60’s guitar and a G2 amongst others. I had similar noise issues: it was definitely the proximity of electronic gear that caused the guitar to hum. Without going rocket-science-magazine-style, it’s physically normal that some electric currents emit EM fieds, and it’s physically normal that electric currents are influenced by EM fields.

I’m not sure whether my solution was the best one, but here is how I reduced the hum in a significant way. My father had this aluminium adhesive roll used for antenna cable isolation. I removed the pick guard of my guitar and covered the whole cavity with it; as well as the inner side of the pick guard, of course. The pick ups are obviously not covered so they receive interferences but all in all, I got very satisfied of that afternoon’s work

The operative word is "Single coil"-notorious for picking up digital hash.Have you tried it with a guitar with humbuckers?

Simple man here: Couldn't you just internally bypass the built in power supply, then just use a cursed "wall wart" instead?

Perhaps not impossible, but then you need to rewire the instrument to use an external power supply.

The transformer in the Nord's supply is multi-tapped: It produces (approximately)+12V, -12V, +5V and -5V. This complicates any wall wart solution.

and also +3.3v -- five total different voltages

What about using 5 wall warts then? What could possibly go wrong there?

I have not. I'm sure the single coils don't help. But I would hate to have to switch guitars. Also, I shielded the Telecaster completely to the point that, when it's just the guitar and the amp, it's nearly noiseless.
