No that is why I sold my Nord E5D because of the ability to get a clean organ sound.

If using a swell/control pedal, you could try backing off just a bit and see if the sound cleans up with the reduction in gain. Since amplifiers tend to be the most significant variable from one user to the next, I would also experiment and hook the board up to different sources of amplification or headphones to see if your amp of choice has anything to do with the organ sounds you're getting.

With firmware 2.0 there is no dirt anymore. When drive is at 0 then sound is absolutely clean.

I use a Electro 5/73, a Hammond SK-1/73 and a Hammond XK-1. On monday I will change my Electro 5 to an Electro 6HP.
It is true, that the sound of the Nord organs is very rough and if I need a smooth organ sound (e.g. gospel), I use my NE5/73 in combination with the Neo Vent I or I carry a real hammond with me.
But please consider this: If you play with guitars (e.g. in our cover-band), they are very mid-oriented and the Nord-Organ-Sound delivers a good competition to this mixture.
Dont forget: Nord will ever stay clone - a good one, but only a clone!

Unfortunately there is no difference with the new firmware update.

The "growl/distorsion" can be heard easily holding a Cm7 chord on right hand, a C8 bass octave on left hand, with transpose -1oct on the organ part.

I compare it to my NS2ex's leslie.

Hi eibinger
It depends on what settings you are using.
I have owned a Hammond XK1, an XB1, an L100 and just about every clone there has ever been, plus a selection of leslies and clones. I dont like the Vent, I prefer the Nord sim.
Yes the Nord is a clone, But for me its the best damb thing I've gigged with in 4 decades. Also remember the XK1 Sk are made by Suzuki.

It’s not clear to me by the replies did they fix this overdrive issue on the Nord electro 6 or not?
