Wow! I was having this EXACT problem with my Electro 3. Curiously, after my Electro 3 was on for a while, the piano sound used to fade in with an ominous crackle, but tonight, in never faded in at all, so in desperation, I turned to this forum. Thanks to the great advice that I just found here, with the Control Pedal mode set to O, I have piano and sample sound again, but the organ has weak volume. The most interesting thing about this case, for me, is that I have never used the control pedal input at all since I purchased the Electro 3 second hand about five years ago. I don't know if this is relevant or not, but I had been running OS v3.12, and my Marimba sample somehow became corrupted, and so I was getting no sound at all on piano until I deleted the errant file with Sound Manager, and the the sound returned, but next time I turned the Electro 3 on, the problem persisted. In an attempt to fix the issue, I loaded OS v3.14, and the sound came back after a time, but I am pretty sure that this had nothing to do with the update, because as I said, the piano sound used to fade back in anyway. When I have more time, I will open the Electro 3 to do a visual inspection, but for now, all I am using it for is pianos, so this is no longer an urgent issue. I am lucky that I have a C2 in my apartment... and a C2D back at the house! All my organ needs are covered.
"Yes, with Control Pedal Mode set to P there were no pianos, no samples, and weak organs. Changing this to O resulted in getting the pianos and samples back. Setting this finally to S resulted in getting pianos, but no samples, and still weak organs. Note that there was no control pedal connected to the instrument."
I love this forum!
Thanks, Pablo!!
