This 'unofficial' Forum is dedicated to the Clavia Nord Keyboards, including the Nord Stage, Nord Electro and Nord Piano. Discuss any issues around Nord's keyboards, share your favorite patches, samples, and music. We are not affiliated with Clavia!
Any situation where people can get near your instrument, like a party or a wedding, is always a high-risk environment for any musical gear.
Hopefully I figured how to quote correctly on this forum?
I hadn't powered anything up yet before I left, and I use a Furman surge protector. I'm pretty sure no one turned.it on.
But yes, near the end, since it was a private party, we became the karaoke band with lots of girls and drinks all up everywhere, but the Nord was already broke. We played near a beach all summer, so that could be something, too, maybe.

I wonder if someone "played" with your output routing settings while were away from your Nord... (maybe this setting is not reset during a factory update). Try checking the Left, Right, and Headphone output to see if you get Piano/Samples on any of them. The piano/sample audio might just be going to an unexpected channel. With luck, it might save you a trip to the repair shop.

pterm, you are a genious. So, yes, that is the case. ALL sounds DO work from the Right Out and the headphones jacks.
The Left/Mono will only sound the organs.
Ummm, something I can fix? or just use the right channel, until I blow that one up, too? I'm gonna try a smilie face, but my computer is old, too, and as you can tell, technology kind of eludes me. But thank you thank you thank you!
And now I know exactly what I did. The day before the gig, I was running through some stuff, and a knew song I'm trying to learn also on my trumpet, I wanted to transpose the key for a minute to Bb, and I must have fumbled on the System menu and changed the routing. All is well again. I promise to stay on this forum instead of wasting time on Facebook, and keep learning. You all are swell! And, I will still holler at anyone trying to lay stuff on my keyboard, won't drive away while it's set up, and get a "fan mic stand" for the surprise back-up singers!

Glad you figured it out. One suggestion-perhaps now you can change the subject header of this thread to reflect what the actual problem was, and the solution. Something like "No sound? Check your output routing settings!" Otherwise the subject is spreading misinformation.

Good idea, I tried to edit all the Subject: titles, but I am not able to do so, unless I edit all the posts. Maybe Johannes knows how to do this. Glad it is sorted out.

Couldn't change thread subject title on computer, but it worked on my phone! Yay, thanks again. Your knowledge helped me understand the owner's manual better. But I have one question for Mr. G.; What magnetic things are you putting on your keyboard all the time? Just curious.
@Sitonhands1: Excellent news! Good work figuring out how to restore it yourself too. I know I've mis-selected System Menu items too and not found until I was the only one in the wrong key.
I find it interesting that the system settings persisted through the factory restore though.

That is correct -- on most Nord instruments menu settings are unaffected by factory restore, something which I learned the hard way with a backline company my 2nd week on the job!
Bless,
Pablo
