Volume Pedal and other Accessories
Hey everyone, I'm getting my Nord Electro 3 HP on Tuesday! I was just wondering if there's a stand volume pedal I should get? Like is there a best one, or is any one alright? Also other then sustain and volume pedals, do I need anything else? (Other then the stand and patch chords and case of course.)
Appreciate it!
Julian

Re: Volume Pedal and other Accessories
Ah, I just found the Swell pedal thread, I guess I'll grab the Yamaha FC7.

Re: Volume Pedal and other Accessories
Can't go wrong with the FC-7.
In particular in the US where it can be had for as low as 39 bucks (http://www.zzounds.com/item--YAMFC7) while in Europe it's almost twice that amount due to our soon-to be worthless currency...

Re: Volume Pedal and other Accessories
Reading that thread will show you the difference between volume and swell when it comes to the Organ sounds and the amount of drive. A volume pedal sits between your output and your amp, and also may be useful depending on what you need to accomplish.

Re: Volume Pedal and other Accessories
I guess an expression pedal is the most common "must"?
I want a pedal that can control rotor speed slow/fast and maybe
some other functions?
And is the Yamaha FC-7 the best for that?

Re: Volume Pedal and other Accessories
For Rotor, you would want to use an on/off switch pedal, such as the Yamaha FC-4:

Re: Volume Pedal and other Accessories
For my Electro 3/73, I use a FC7 for my swell, a piano style pedal for the sustain, and a Yamaha FC5 for my rotor.

Re: Volume Pedal and other Accessories
Anybody have experience with the Roland FS1 switch for rotor control on the Stage?

Not sure if its momentary or latching, but it seems that doesn't matter as it can be set to either from the keyboard. Just making sure I wasn't overlooking some compatibility detail. Thanks!

Re: Volume Pedal and other Accessories
You might want to take a look at the FS-5U by Roland .
It will change rotor speed or function as a sustain pedal.
Has a polarity switch to use with stuff wired the other way and
uses a standard 1/4 inch cable.
