Why less patch for NL4 and lot for A1??
Why there are lot of patch for nord lead A1, videos on net, ecc and nord lead 4 only a few???
I know synth are a little bit different but with potentiality of NL4 that is the flasgship model i was expecting more sound
Its a pity to dont have some reference parameter to create some A1 similar sounds on NL4

Re: Why less patch for NL4 and lot for A1??
Because with NLA1 you can generate a huge area of sounds (for example pressing the Ensemble effect you can emulate most of the vintage strings-machines). Using the effects you can bring back the sound from most of vintage synths. So owning A1 I feel I have a hundred of synths in one. That's why the new Nord Stage has a A1 engine, not a NL4. NL4 is more for modern music.

Its more simple to.use, but with comb mofulated by an LFO uou can simply create same effect, with last update they increased wavetable like A1, that mean all u can create with A1 you can do very close result with NL4 that is more powerful, exept reverb and delay in same time, but ive an extrrnal multi fx.

This is the reply about what you told from a nord endorser "Yeah. There's basically no difference i sound what I know. It's just that the A1 has a more vintage-like effects section. And that it hasn't got all the "modern" complexity that the NL4 has, like the morphbuttons and arpeggiopatterns and so on"

Hang on... there is no difference?. I do not thing that your statement is correct.
What has been said before is that with the NL4 you could produce many/most/all? sounds in the A1, but the reverse is not so.
I do not think you can tune 2 different oscillators in the A1 like you can do in the NL4. If I am correct, the A1 slot has a hidden oscillator like the NS2 instead of a separate one. If so, that is not the same as you get locked to the same waveform and a limited range of detuning compared to the NL4.
Doesn't that NL4 have ADSR envelopes, while the A1 are ADR EGs?
1 LFO vs 2 LFOs?
So obviously not the same.

Re: Why less patch for NL4 and lot for A1??
Indeed, different beasts. NL4 is more powerful on sound syntheses, NLA1 on effect section. I love A1 because it can easy recreate most of the sounds of the 80's. Starting from scratch I can obtain a certain sound in few minutes. Most of them are using the effect section, so maybe they can be obtained with a NL4 and an EFX module as well.

Re: Why less patch for NL4 and lot for A1??
I think the answer is quite basic: because there are more A1s around than 4s.
This is only my guess of course, but I think it's correct: the A1 is cheaper, easier to use and with a better effect section. No surprise there are more A1 users and patches.

I'm thinking the same, more A1 users and simpliest to useSpider wrote:I think the answer is quite basic: because there are more A1s around than 4s.

So... more opportunities for you to start making your own NL4 patches and fill the gap!Artico78 wrote:I'm thinking the same, more A1 users and simpliest to useSpider wrote:I think the answer is quite basic: because there are more A1s around than 4s.
