Moving Electro 3 patches to a Stage

Everything about Nord keyboards in general; which one to choose, the sound manager, sample editor, and general discussion about the sample and piano libraries.

Moving Electro 3 patches to a Stage

Post by olibailey »

Can I move Nord Electro 3 patches driectly to a Stage using the Nord Sound Manager program.

I use about 10 different patches for live work which include a mixture of built in Electro sounds and some samples downloaded from the nord sample library. I have edited all the samples slightly in terms of eq levels, effect etc. and I would want to keep all these settings. So could I just dump them across to a Stage from my laptop? I'm off to the States for a gig and the hire company there are saying they can only get me a Stage. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hello olibailey,
Welcome to the forums!

Short answer is no.
The patch "program" structure is different between the NE3 and Stage series.
The Piano samples are the same, guaranteeing that the Stage can sound the same as the NE3.

If they hire you a Stage 2, then the Sample Library will also be the same.

You'll have to manually re-create your programs.

Cheers, Hanon
