Nord stage with Irig Midi 2

Hi!

I shall like connecting my piano with Irig Midi 2. It allows to connect my Nord Stage 2 to my iPad with an app as SampleTank (for iPad), to send a signal noon(south) to the piano so that he(it) changes sounds but it don't work !

I think that it is necessary to look the signal midi in the Nord Stage but I don't know how.

Does anybody already have to connect the piano with Irig Midi 2 ?

SampleTank = sample playback! It can not control your Nord Stage, as far as I know.

Please, try another app!
Like MidiToolBox, where you can monitor stuff, and send commands.

Ok merci je viens de le télécharger et je vais me pencher un peu dessus !

Par contre sais-tu si je peux envoyer du signal midi au Nord Stage ? Je veux dire que par la, même avec SampleTank, je n'arrive pas à lui envoyer le signal midi. Lorsque je sélectionne un instrument, je ne l'entends pas dans le Nord !
Donc que ce soit SampleTank ou MidiToolBox, le principe doit bie rester le même non ?
J'ai bien branché Irig Midi 2 mais les voyants ne s'allument pas quand je le branche en midi au Nord, je ne comprends pas !
Quelqu'un pourrait-il m'éclairer là-dessus ?

You have probably found the French user manual:

If you are to play around with your iPad as a MIDI tool, you have to get MIDI Tool Box. Or go crazy.

Connect your iPad to your Stage. The cable from iPad OUT should got to IN on the Stage. And vice versa!

On the Stage: find the page about MIDI "Menu" in the manual. Set all channels to MIDI 1 (for this test). Let everything else be "ON".

iPad, MIDI ToolBox: go to I/O Setup. Activate everything on iRig MIDI.

On iPad: go to Event Monitor. Play something on the Stage. The transmissions will be shown!
The red LEDs on the iRig will flash to confirm the traffic.

On iPad: start iPiano. Play the Stage. Sound will come from the iPad.

On iPad: go to MIDI Tool Box Program Change - touch some buttons ... programs will change on the Stage!

No fun. Only playback. Not possible to control the Stage. Not from the version I have.

Merci beaucoup pour tes explications. Je viens d'essayer de brancher simplement Irig Midi 2 à l'Ipad et en jouant une note sur SampleTank ou Ipiano par exemple, je n'ai même pas de signal sur le Irig Midi 2, c'est normal ? Les lumières ne s'allument pas sur OUT ou IN, je pense qu'il y a un problème.

Peut-être un réel problème.

Je viens de voir que même avec l'application Irig Midi Recorder, Irig Midi 2 ne reçoit aucun signal et n'est pas reconnu je crois :

" Irig Midi Not Connected"

Quelqu'un aurait une petite idée ????

Maybe a real problem.

I have just seen that even with the application Irig Midi Recorder, Irig Midi 2 no receives signal and is not recognized I believe:

"Irig Midi Not Connected"

Anybody would have a small idea?
