Can Nord Pedal Keys 27 be used in Nord Stage 2?

The Nord pedal keys works via midi and has a regular plug for the swell pedal.
Set the Stage 2 "MIDI Dual KB Channel" to 3 and the pedal keyboard will control the organ lower manual.
Cheers, Hanon

Re: Stage 2 with Pedal Keys 27
Thanks for the information.
I am a little bit confused.
Nord C2 has a "Bass Pedal MIDI In" but Stage 2 doesn't.
Will the Pedal Keys 27 work like C2 if I plug it into Stage 2's MIDI in?

the C2 has 3 manuals; upper, lower and pedals. the NS2 has only 2; upper and lower.
you can control one of these with the pedal keys via MIDI (i.e. the lower manual).
the extra bass pedal MIDI IN on the C2 is a feature so you don't need to occupie the original MIDI IN jack.

Re: Stage 2 with Pedal Keys 27
Hi toro.larsson,
Thanks for answering.
Does that mean if I use pedal keys, half of the keyboard's sound will be the same as pedal keys' sound?
If the pedal keys control the lower manual, can the original lower manual be different from the pedal keys?
Thanks!

Re: Stage 2 with Pedal Keys 27
well, it means that one of your registry settings can be played back by the pedals. you'll need to setup the NS2 with one registry setting in SLOT A, and another registry setting in SLOT B. then you will have to setup one of the slots to receive on the same MIDI channel as the pedal board transmits.
a shortcut in this case is to use the dual KB mode (just as Hanon_CTS wrote).
read more about how to use dual KB mode in the manual.

Re: Stage 2 with Pedal Keys 27
Dear Forum Members, I know it is kind of five years later. But I just bought a NS 2 EX and asked myself the same question. One Nord dealer told me that the PK27 cannot be used with the 2EX, but if I understand your comments correct, I believe that the PK27 could/should work as well with the 2EX similar to the explanation with the Nord Stage 2. Any idea or experience in this regard is highly appreciated. Thanks

This Nord dealer has misinformed you, or you did not correctly understand what the dealer was trying to say
PK27 can absolutely be used with ANY Nord Stage model, or any midi instrument for that matter. It is designed to work with Nord's C2/C2D series, and there are features on that instrument which complement the PK27 very nicely, but no reason why you can't play organ (or piano or synth) bass on Nord Stage with PK27.
Bless,
Pablo
