Howdy. One of the reasons I bought my Nord Wave was to be able to sample and emulate some of my favourite old synths. In particular I love some of the sounds the Korg DW8000 is capable of. So I want to use the sample option in the Nord Wave more for single cycle waves than for sampling things like loops.
If anyone has a diagram that shows the waves which the Nord Wave includes, that would be awesome - there are both Wavetables and Special Waves in there aside from the samples, and I would love to see diagrams of those, in order to compare them to waves found in the Prophet VS, Korg DW series, MS2000 and Virus.
If you have not already checked out this amazing site - there are tons of free waves to use, and he has a chart that shows you what they look like.
There is both an online chart and a downloadable one, which is really handy if you want to find a wave that is 'similar' to one on a synth you already know and love.
I have not used these waves yet, so I can't say how useful they will be in practice, but I figured I would share them here anyway.

Wow, there are thousands of waveforms to play around with from this weblink. In fact it would take you many weeks/months/years to explore all of the options and play around with them using the Nord sample software.
