Did you have a NS2 or an NS2EX? The conclusion of this thread (so far) is that the NS2EX organ section was upgraded compared to the NS2.
Hmm...

I had NS2 but both NS2 and NS2EX seem to have same "B3 tonewheel mode":

"Range: Clean, Vintage1 (default), Vintage2"

So NE5 seems to have one more option.. not a big thing but a difference anyway ;)

I think there's a difference between saying it's modeled from a Leslie, and actually referring to it as a Leslie.
I was responding to pablo's statement about the use of the word "Leslie" by Nord, see what I quoted before my sentence you reported....

I am still convinced that NS2EX has the same Organ as NS2 and not the NE5/C2D one, as also latest posts confirm.

I trust that Pablo's information is correct. It would be nice though if Nord would update their documentation and website.

I am also surprised that Nord is not touting the B3 / leslie sim update as one of the selling points. They have been completely silent about it aside from this forum. So it's a bit of a head scratcher.

i did notice that some dealers have a different description on the NS2EX vs the NS2 and mention the 122 sim specifically for the NS2EX....

Anyway - I am taking the plunge. I sold My NS2 last year and I really miss it. I have an Electro 5D 73 and I love the B3 / leslie sim. The electro is great for some things - especially when I need a super lightweight rig or small stage, but for most of my gigs I would prefer the weighted action of the stage. So I ordered an NS2EX 88.

Will report back - If I have time I will do a quick sound demo of the NS2EX B3 compared to the Electro 5D B3.

If there isn't room for both Leslie models on the NS2, maybe Nord can just give us the option of having the new, better one?

.....hopefully a correction on the comparison chart at least to show that NS2 sim and NS2EX sim are not the same.

If it is true that

- procedures and algorithms for organ- and speakersimulation are exclusive embedded within OS,
- an OS updatefile contains the entire application software,

then there can be no audible difference between NS2 and NS2EX, because the downloadable OS updatefiles for NS2 and NS2EX are identic in every Byte an Bit.

Cheers

Yes. We noticed.
I should have kept my NE4D to keep advantage of both worlds, loved the leslie, and clean was clean with it.
I wish an OS update for that on the NE5 ! But you know wishes are subjective.
