Recording Nord Stage 2

Post by theOrangeDoom »

This is my first post.Be gentle :)

Long story short, I own a NS2 and I want to record it using Sonar X3 through my Roland Quad-Capture.

What's the best way to connect it, quality wise?

:thanks:

Hi, Welcome to the forum.
I suppose that you are talking audio recording? I do not think there are too many options for this. The NS2 does not output via the USB connector, so if you still have the NS2 set to output in stereo through outputs 1 and 2, then try connecting those two via TS (mono) cables to the 2 inputs of the Roland and that would get converted to USB audio. When you record those 2 audio streams in Sonar, make sure that they are fully panned in opposite directions so you do not have any phase cancellation effects.

Two additional tips:
set the master volume on the Nord to maximum and use no longer cables as necessary.
