Nice job!
Yes total black would've been more clean-looking (without the residual red and yellow on the panel), but I understand that it would have required a totally different -and much more complicated- job.
I especially like the end wood blocks, they look almost "real"!
Did you disassemble the Stage to do the job properly, or were you able to wrap it without disassembling?
In the second case, I'm really amazed at your skill -and patience!

I think red has probably served Nord well from a Marketing perspective (i.e., because their keyboards are easily identified at a distance without the need to read the manufacture logo to know it's a Nord). However, I don't like having a red keyboard and prefer black. So from this customer's view it was a compromise buying red but perhaps I'm not their target market. To me it's just a machine (i.e., a great machine at that) and machines shouldn't command so much attention. I see black as understated and red as overstated.
