no sound from NL4r

no sound from NL4r
i just got a new NL4r today and i can not get sound from it . i'm controlling it with a novation sl mk2 . the midi led next to the master output level lights up when i press keys . i updated the os to 1.24 and i still have no sound . please help ?

Welcome to the forum!
Your NR4 is equipped with two midi ports, one traditional 5-pin DIN and one USB. Both ports cannot, however, be active at once; it's own or the other. In this changing world it seems that fewer and fewer people are using midi while more and more are using USB. For this reason, the factory default setting on the NR4 is for the USB port to be active. If you enter the Midi Menu and change that setting per the "cheat sheet" printed on the front panel of the instrument, your ears will achieve their goal.
