The Micro is still a fine instrument in monophonic use.
Not only for fat basses but for 'weird' things as well. Thinking about FX, drones or audio processing.
Yes the Vocoder works fine!
I would buy the cheapest windows laptop and fill it with 99 presets. Than cut it lose and bring it on stage without computer.
You can midi sync the thing and go. A 2nd hand coasts nothing and probably it will outlive you too
