Hey!
I am having a slight problem with my sound-interface and my gamingheadset.
I am an avid gamer with a 7.1 surround razer headset with a microphone that I use for gaming.
However, I also play a lot of music on my Nord Stage 2 with the audio running through my Scarlett 8i6, then out
to two studio monitors (M-Audio BX5a).
What my problem is, is that I can't find any way to chose wheter I want to have the sound from my NS2 go through my headphone or my monitors.
At the moment, I have it running through the monitors, and if I want to get sound through my headset, as well as a working microphone for gaming, I have to cut the power to the Scarlett 8i6. This is really more work than should be needed to switch between "gaming-mode" and "studio-mode".
Any tips?
Thanks in advance for any help

Re: Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 + Gaming Headset?
Other forum goers can correct me if I'm wrong but here's what I believe is happening :
The Scarlett 8i6 becomes your sound device when you are in what you call "studio mode". There should be a way, in the sound settings to select your default audio device (however you normally get audio from your computer to your headset) in Windows (assuming you're using windows). Check the control panel. If not, turning off the 8i6 probably IS in fact the quickest way to switch back to your headset.

Re: Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 + Gaming Headset?
Not really sure what you mean by studio and gaming mode. To me there is no difference since I assume you don't play the NS2 while gaming and vice versa.
(But as Dugrok mentioned, is the headset a USB one or standard jack one? If it's USB there will be an issue since it can never (most likely) get the sound from the NS2 which is itself connected to the Focusrite).
I would just set in Focusrite MixControl the mixes of the headset and studio monitors according to your liking and it should work easily.
