pitchstick on Nords not wood anymore?!

I've owned four or five Nords and am on my third Stage 2. (forced to sell the other two)

anyway, i just bought a brand new Stage 2 and the pitchstick feels like a plastic composite or something.

it just feels cheap compared to the previous pirchstick. disappointing.

anyone else find this on newer Nords?

Hi Philip,

You are mistaken about that -- it is wood. Perhaps the clear finish coat is responsible for making you think otherwise.

My ModWheel is metal (aluminium? or some alloy). You can confirm that it conducts electricity with a tester.
PitchStick is wood here too.

maybe you should try to burn it to see if it's wood or plastic…if it melts like jelly them it might be plastic

reminds me of how one tells if pearls are genuine or fake: leave 'em in a dish of acid overnight and if they're gone in the morning, they were real!

Before "real" artificial diamonds, the only way to reliably tell fake one was to burn them. Real diamonds, being pure carbon, would vanish in a huff of flame and smoke.
