usb drivers for C2 on Mac
Hi all,
I'm a new french user of the tremendous Nord C2. Whaaaao, it is so awesome !
But I've just wanted tu use it on my Powermac with Ableton Live with midi, and I do not find usb drivers yet... Is it available on Mac ? Or must I use midi connection instead of usb ?
I don't also find the way ton reset the instrument to its factory presets and programs.
Could you please help me find these things ?
Best regards

usb drivers for C2 on Mac
Congrats:-)
There's sadly no USB-MIDI for the C2. The USB port is for updates only.
You'll have to ude regular MIDI-cables, and another interface.

Welcome to the forums.
Mac OSX doesn't require drivers for USB connection to the C2.
Nord has a program management software app called Nord Sound Manager (NSM).
NSM is free from Nord and runs on OSX.
NSM is what you will need to restore the factory original status of your C2
Here are the links:
Nord Sound Manager: http://www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads/ ... 0v5.58.dmg
Nord C2 Factory Programs: http://www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads/ ... 20v1.2.zip
Cheers, Hanon

Re: usb drivers for C2 on Mac
Thank you for your answer, but it's not a reset at all.
In fact, I bought my C2 from another user and he has changed little thing everywhere : progs, settings etc.
I would like to know how to restore my C2 like it has been found out of the factory.
Should I send each of the 125 programs at once ? And what about the settings ?
Is there not a global backup ? (a .ncb file to restore)
Perhaps a combination of keys to press at ignition like Roland or Korg ?
Regards

The C2 doesn't have a reset procedure that is documented in the manual.TUBbrain wrote:Thank you for your answer, but it's not a reset at all.
However, there may be an unpublished sequence of buttons.
You may contact Nord at the following link:

Re: usb drivers for C2 on Mac
This has to be able to be remedied... Did you ever come to a conclusion? I just emailed the address above and will report back with what they say.
I am having a problem with the c2 not seeing incoming cc or prog ch midi messages. (the two are set to "SR" in the midi menu and they are listening on the same channel that the midi footcontroller is sending on)
Can't figure it out... I'm thinking a factory reset will be the best way to get it working like normal again...
