Nord wave fx question

Hi There,
I am new to subtractive synthesis so I may be phrasing this question incorrectly;
I recently got a nord wave and love it, however I would like to figure out if there is a configuration that would simulate a "trans" effect like in pioneer dj equipt- ie rythmic muting of audio
I have tried a lot of things and am kind of giving up on it but I'd like to hear anyone's thoughts and also looking for suggestion for an external-to-nord solution/connections for this effect...

On my Nord Rack 3, Waldorf Q and Blofeld synths, Dave Smith Evolver and Virus I just set the LFO to control the amplifier volume, potentially with the LFO synced to an incoming MIDI clock. This creates a pumping, rhythmical effect. I assume that is what you mean.

I looked at the Wave manual, but I don't see a way to set up the LFOs so they directly influence the (amplifier) volume. There might be a way using morphing, but I'm not sure.

Yeah the lfo won't modify the amp or output... Morphing is an option but from what I understand of morphing so far is its entirely performer triggered ie no way to get precise and repeatable intervals...thanks for looking into it!

if you set the lfo1 to pan and only use one output, you get a tremolo/gate effect instead of panning

Im really fond of having two outputs ....
Someone told me I'm looking for a trance gate, so I'm looking into that in but hardware and software...

Hi,

There is no way to control the Amp section of nord wave with LFOs without the aid of Morphing, but I suppose in this particular case quite a similar effect can be achieved easily by controlling filter with an LFO.

0. Set LFO1's waveform to Square wave.
1. Set LFO1's destination to Filter.
2. Set the LFO1's Amount to maximum.
3. Set the LFO1's Rate to 5 Hz or so.
4. Set cutoff Frequency, Resonance, and Envelope Amount of the Filter to zero.
5. Now perhaps you'll hear the slicing effect of audio, so set the Rate of LFO1 to your like.
