I am new to this forum and to Nord keyboards. I just purchased an Electro 4 HP with a Fatar VFP2-15M pedal.
I have selected the Fatar pedal setting through the system menu settings. The right pedal works properly: sustain when piano sounds are selected and switches between fast and slow rotary speed when organ is selected.
Now I would like to use the left pedal as a soft pedal just like a real piano. I have plugged the left jack to the "control pedal" input on the Nord and tried various settings in the menus but it has no effect. What should I do?
Also, I heard that it was possible to reproduce the real sound of a sustain pedal: when it is depressed on a real piuano, without touching any notes on the keyboards, there is a light resonating sound. Is it possible with the Nord Electro and the Fatar VFP2-15M? How?
Thanks for your help.

The salesperson who sold you that pedal with your Nord did not do you any big favors. If you like, you could use one for sustain and the other for rotary control. It will not be possible for you to use either of them as a soft pedal. Also, the pedal noise you refer to does not exist on the Electro, only on Piano, Piano 2 and Stage 2, and requires the Nord triple pedal.
