NE3 Accessory Questions
NE3 Accessory Questions
Greetings – I’m considering a purchase of an Electro 3 for various reasons. I’ve searched the forum and have a few questions that I can’t see direct answers to so any help will be greatly appreciated.
1) Is there an attachable music stand?
2) I see that there are “legs” for the Nord Stage. Is that available for the NE3? If not, what do people use for a stand rather than an X stand?
3) Is the Nord bag the most recommended?
This questions may seem trivial but it will help me decide what to do at this point. I currently use a Korg SV-1 which I love but the weight is getting to me among a few other issues. Also, I’d be able to pair the two boards for larger gigs but for the quick ones, I can choose which one to travel with me.
Thanks for any help that you can provide.

Re: NE3 Accessory Questions
Hi Bootsy,
There is an attachable music stand and keyboard stand available for the HP:
http://www.nordkeyboards.com/main.asp?t ... ccessories
Not too sure on the std electro 3 model though.
Personally, I just use an X stand because of its compactness- the legs on the nord stand give off a cool retro vibe though!
As for the nord bag, it looks cool and should be fine for storage and light use. However, if you're planning on gigging, you should consider a hard case; I bought a 61 key Gator hard case for my electro 3 HP and it works a treat!
Hope this helps,
Elvee

Re: NE3 Accessory Questions
From memory,
I don't believe that the Nord branded music stand will fit the electro three
I don't believe that the legs that Nord makes will fit the electro three either.
The Nord case is pretty nice as long as you're not using it for a flight case.
The best thing that I have found is a Plano all weather gun case.
Check your dimensions they're reasonably priced.

Re: NE3 Accessory Questions
Consolidating the two above responses:
legs and stand will work on HP version of NE3, but not SW version
gig bags are great for around town work

Thanks for the info. That's what I was thinking but was looking for confirmation. I appreciate the prompt feedback.
I dislike x stands. Can anyone recommend a good stand for the Electro 3 (non-HP).

Re: NE3 Accessory Questions
I like the Quiklok M-91 stand. Cumbersome to transport, but solid as a rock and tons of clear space for pedals and feet. Second tier add-ons available; wish it had mic boom and laptop stand accessories as well, but...

Re: NE3 Accessory Questions
Get a triple Quik Lok and add one, or two accessories. You take OFF the third tier (too high unless you are over 6'4" tall-no one can see you! Add in the mic boom attachment. Of course is you are only using ONE keyboard - a double does the same. I LIKE the stand the best of all I use. Extremely sturdy!

Here is the mic boom (or OTHER uses like a small mixer - one never has to turn around and try to continue playing):
