Problems with Level knobs (dB) for Piano, Organ, and Synth
Hi there,
My Stage 2 has been working fine up to this point, but all of a sudden today I began having an issue with the Level knobs for each section (Synth, Piano, Organ) regarding the dB.
Usually, when the Level knobs are at halfway (neutral) position the Level is at 0.0 dB. However, now, when the knobs are at neutral position, the Level is -11.4 dB, and only when I turn the Level knob fully to the right does it reach 0.0 dB. These knobs used to go up higher, not sure to the exact value, but to at least +20 dB or more.
If I turn each knob all the way left, they go Off, but just before Off they are at about -72.1 dB.
Any idea how to get it back so that I can get into the positive dB range to make them louder? I must have pressed something.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Are there any morphs active? Perhaps mod wheel or control pedal?

No control pedal, just have the sustain pedal plugged in.
The morphs active change depending on each preset but even when I turn them off this does not solve the issue - it is consistent still across Organ, Synth, and Piano.

On my Stage 2, the maximum value is displayed as 0 dB as well, and it has always been this way. I'm surprised to read that it should be different. If there is a way to reach values higher than 0 dB, I'd really like to know about it.GrandmaJoner wrote:Usually, when the Level knobs are at halfway (neutral) position the Level is at 0.0 dB. I'm not going crazy am I? I am quite positive they used to be at 0 at neutral, and would go -dB (below 0) if you turned it left and go + dB (above 0) if you turned it right.

I'm afraid you are going crazy. They read 0dB at maximum and never have plus values. (You're probably thinking of some other keyboard that you have, but I like the "going crazy" theory better).GrandmaJoner wrote:I'm not going crazy am I? This is the correct operation for these controls.GrandmaJoner wrote:when the knobs are at neutral position, the Level is -11.4 dB, and only when I turn the Level knob fully to the right does it reach 0.0 dB.......If I turn each knob all the way left, they go Off, but just before Off they are at about -72.1 dB.

The equaliser buttons output + dB, that is probably what you are being confused with.
