Organ programs linked to Piano sounds in SM

Post by massca »

Hi,
it seems very strange to me that Organ programs are linked to Piano sounds in the Sound Manager. Could you please help me to understand why?

Thank you.

Massca, for presets that tie to the Organ section, if you hit the "Piano" button, you will then have the sound the SM is showing as the piano sound. Every preset effectively has an Organ preset and a Piano/Sample preset associated with it. This can be convenient when playing a song live that switches between organ and piano/sample parts as you can just create a dual preset that matches your needs for both and switch between using the Organ and Piano buttons.

Jmmyjames thank you very much! I'm new to the Electro and I didn't think to switch sounds in a song in this way.
This complicate a bit my programs organization. I'm thinking to have independent programs with one sound, but this feature gives more flexibility.
It could be better if the notes will be held during the organ/piano switch, but most of time my band is loud and sound cut isn't a problem.

New electro 4 owner. I am glad you asked this. I thought that it meant that the piano sound was used to model the organ sound, and I was concerned that if I deleted the piano sound, I would mess up the organ sound. Thanks!
