Nord C2 and Leslie 3300 automatic activaction

Post by keaton »

I have a problem with my Nord C2: I have always used the C2 with the Leslie 3300 and it has always turned on or off with just the start switch on the Nord. After about a month of inactivity, my Nord C2 no longer automatically turns the Leslie 3300 on/off. Could this be a problem with the Nord C2's backup battery?

Nord doesn't use backup batteries.. All programs/patches/sounds are stored in non-volatile RAM which does not need a battery to maintain information.
Non-volatile random-access memory (NVRAM) is a type of computer memory that retains data without power. It combines the speed of traditional RAM with the persistence of storage, often used for critical system data like BIOS/UEFI settings, router configurations, or in industrial applications.

As cgrafx said, no batteries and no special settings either; if you connect the Leslie3300 using the 11PIN connector (I presume), check the cable is OK and that it is well plugged on both ends; if still not working it could be hardware failure on the C2 circuit that drives the command pins of that connector,
