Sample Editor "generate failed" message
Anybody know what I'm doing wrong? I'm trying to save a sample I created, and when I click "save and transfer to Nord" I keep getting the same error message: "Generate Failed: Encoding Failed." It says the same thing when I disconnect the Nord and just try to save, so it's not a memory or capability issue. Thanks in advance.

Re: Sample Editor "generate failed" message
Something I would check: are both the sample editor and the OS in the instrument the latest software versions?
If not I would try to update both in case that there are any possible incompatibilities (although I am just guessing!).

Re: Sample Editor "generate failed" message
I was trying to create a sample program using two different WAV files -- one for the bottom half of the keyboard, one for the upper. Sometimes it would give me that message; other times it would create the sample but half of it was a loud screeching sound instead of the sample. When I eliminated the second WAV file and went down to one file for the whole keyboard, it worked. Not sure why I can't create a sample program using multiple WAV files.

Re: Sample Editor "generate failed" message
Maybe the 2 .wav where of a different sampling frequency/format?

Re: Sample Editor "generate failed" message
I am having the same problem with the "Generate Failed: Encoding Failed" error message. I was working normally adjusting samples on my Nord Wave, then suddenly this message popped up. I don't think I had changed any settings or done anything differently, but now I get the error message every time.
Did anyone in this thread find a solution? Thanks!

Re: Sample Editor "generate failed" message
I still don't know what caused the problem but after starting with a clean project and a new .wav file, I stopped getting the error message. I suspected it had something to do with the Loop function because when I tried the same sample without looping it, everything worked normally. The error message only happened when I tried to Loop the sample. At any rate, I don't appear to be having the issue any longer.
Still would be be interested to hear from anyone who has had the same error message or a similar experience, if such a person exists.
