Loud noises that occur at random

Post by Niquau »

Hello everyone,

A question for all you lucky NG2 owners: do you ever get loud notes that stand out from the mix?
It’s been happening to me for a while now and it’s… a bit of a nuisance. :???:
I’m playing along and suddenly, a note that’s obviously part of the chord I’m playing stands out from the mix and really hits me over the head.
I thought it might be a problem on my end with polyphony and sustain, but yesterday it happened even though I wasn’t using my SP-2 pedal.
A software bug from the North ? An electronic issue ?

Thanks.

If its the same note/key that does this it is likely to be a damaged or dirty contact. Ive had similar problems in the past with other makes of keyboards and have managed to fix them by replacing torn contacts. So far no problems with the Nord for me.

I had this on my NE6 and NE5, you have to take apart the Nord and clean under the rubber contacts of the keybed. If you have questions on how to do that please DM me.
