Still can't decide between 73 SW or HP. Kawai board is just so tempting but synth and organ 3 scream waterfall.

Consider that it’s cheaper and easier to pair the NE7 with a SW midi controller, compared to a weighted controller. There are so many more options, both in key amount, action feel, and so on with SW.

I’ve owned a NE6 73 SW, NS3 Compact, and NS4 73HA. I was pleased with the SW keys for a while, but just wasn’t able to be my best while playing piano or epiano. I do fine with organ and synth on the HA, but I do also have a 49 key controller I occasionally use as well when I want the lighter feel.

The new Crumar DK61 would give you a reasonably-priced controller with waterfall keys and high trigger. OTOH if you added a hammer action controller to the HP, you'd lose the triple sensor behavior, even if driven from a triple sensor board.

Thanks for your input. You are confirming my thoughts. I'm going with the 7HP. Maybe I even just keep my 5D 73 as a controller.

Only for the NE SW61, for the SW73 it says 9-12 weeks and for the 73HP it says "several months" (the largest Italian online shop says mid September)...

Thomann changed it just today (for the 7 HP). Either they have preorders for the complete first batch or it got delayed. But they are not known to play tricks to get people to preorder. They are just too big for such monkey business. I check from time to time also on other shops and try to be patient otherwise.

Yes - They had "In stock within 3-4 weeks" and a short time after they changed it on two models. Maybe someone red this thread and gave them a hint ;)

Could be  or maybe they had just a limited number of early-production ones which have been sold very quickly.

Having monitored the music market regarding Nord keyboards for several years, I’ve noticed that the new Nord Electro 7 is a bit of an outlier.

Since its launch at NAMM 2026, there hasn't been a single additional review or presentation videos on YouTube. It seems only three units were made available worldwide for the NAMM show in United States. There appear to be no other units available, especially here in Europe.

This is a significant departure from previous releases like the NS4, NP6, or NE6.
