Nord A1R Midi Arpeggiator Issue Stand Alone Sequencer

Hello,

I am hoping someone can offer some advise to a midi issue Im having with the A1R.

Setup is a Kawai Q80 sequencer everything is routed in/out/thu correctly into the sequencer meaning I get play and record with no issue.

I am having issues ONLY with the Nord A1 when I use the arpeggiator in a midi loop recorded into the sequencer 1-4 bars looped. The arpeggiator will start and play right thru in time 1 or 2 times then stop and then silence or one note will hang.

Ive hooked the Nord direct to the sequencer as the only instrument and it still managed to do the same thing.

My set up is as follows: Access Virus B, Micromonsta v1 and the Nord A1R at the end of the midi chain.

The Virus has no issues playing by arps with the midi loops neither does the Micromonsta. The Nord has the latest update to 1.36

If anyone has ANY tips as to why this is happening and how I can possible fix it please share.

I have no experience with problems like this, but people reported issues that sounded similar if there was a MIDI loop. Already sounds a little special if you say that you connected MIDI IN, OUT and Thru - what for? If there's really a MIDI loop, the A1R may be flooded with note-ons and note-offs into infinity.

Ok well I figured it out. Its a good thing I kept my ancient Anatek pocket thru.

I re-rerouted the set up all the modules in to the out of the the thru box and then out of the thru box to midi in on the Kawai. Voila no more stuck notes and or arpeggios.

I had the whole rig routed Midi In to Thru and it just was not working as it should for the Nord A1r.

Heres what I did:

Nord - Midi In to Thru box
Monsta - Midi In to Thru box
Virus - Midi in to Thru box
