Samples (.nsmp, .nsmp2, .nsmp3 etc) can only be added to the Sample section of the Nord. Are you certain you're not trying to drag it to the Synth or Program sections?pbenson wrote: 12 Apr 2025, 13:41 Hi,
Can't get any of these files to transfer to the Nord piano 5 The manager (9.14) repeatedly says they are the wrong format.
Is there any way around this please?
Thanks

Re: Hammond NSMP Samples
As noted by analogica, please check that you are trying to drag the NSMP files to the Sample section of NSM and let us know if you're still having a problem. I tried NSM v9.14 with my Stage 4 and the conversion worked fine.
Nord Stage 4 | Nord Stage 3 | SC Prophet T8 | Korg X50... In the past: Nord Stage EX, 2, 2EX | SC Prophet 5, 10 | MiniMoog | Hammond B3 & 122 Leslie | Yamaha DX7IIFD, EX5, CP60 | Hohner D6 | Fender Rhodes | Roland S-50, D-50, XP-50...

Re: Hammond NSMP Samples
This i.e. first of all ensure you have selected the "Samp Lib" tab of Nord Sound Manager and then, rather than drag-drop, I'd suggest to use the Download buttonWannitBBBad wrote: 15 Apr 2025, 14:40 As noted by analogica, please check that you are trying to drag the NSMP files to the Sample section of NSM

Re: Hammond NSMP Samples
Great samples - I use the 888 NL mono for adding a synth-based bass pedal sound to my Nord Stage 3, while using the Organ engine on Layers A and B for upper and lower manual. Works excellent and sounds much better than any of the standard "mini bass" samples, also allows for a little key-click when using zero attack. Can apply a filter to adjust amount of 8' a little, unfortunately not for the 5 1/3. Put everything through a Ventilator to add leslie and tube.
My concern: organs usually fold back when playing really low notes on a larger keyboard, because the original Hammond and basspedal wouldn't allow for such deep notes, nor are there any tonewheels to support it.
So I was about to implement foldback with the sample editor, but BANG, no reverse engineering starting from .nsmp files (which I can understand).
So I am asking, if you could consider implementing foldback on this one sample, or, otherwise, open up the original sample editor project file to the community for further editing as an exception. Know, this is a copyright concern somehow...
